The processing flow of lithium ore:
1. Brine type lithium ore
Brine type lithium deposits are mainly distributed in Chile, Argentina, and Bolivia in South America, and exist in liquid form in salt lakes or underground brine reservoirs. By drilling wells to extract brine to the surface, and then using solar energy to naturally evaporate and concentrate it in a huge evaporation pool, it is finally sent to the factory for purification and production of lithium carbonate/lithium hydroxide. Finally, the purified lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide crystals are dried using a lithium ore dryer to achieve battery grade or industrial grade quality standards.
2. Hard rock lithium ore
Hard rock lithium deposits are mainly distributed in Australia, Canada, and Africa, and exist in solid rock forms such as spodumene and lithium mica. Firstly, the raw ore is obtained through open-pit or underground mining, and then through a series of processes such as crushing, grinding, flotation, etc., lithium concentrate is obtained. The lithium concentrate after flotation has a high moisture content and needs to be reduced to the qualified line using a lithium ore dryer before being utilized.
