Andesite is a neutral volcanic extrusive rock, the most common volcanic rock in orogenic belts. It contains phenocrysts, which are neutral plagioclase, dark minerals such as pyroxene and amphibole, and a cryptocrystalline matrix composed of plagioclase and a very small amount of orthoclase or quartz. The main minerals contained are oxides of iron and titanium.
As a neutral calc-alkaline extrusive rock, andesite is the main raw material for machine-made sand and is widely used in various industries. Andesite can be made into machine-made sand by crushing and screening. However, due to its high moisture content, it needs to be dried by an andesite dryer first. Andesite dryer is a drum dryer with large processing capacity, low energy consumption, suitable for drying various ores, and easy operation.
Uses of dried andesite:
1. The processed andesite blocks can be used in construction and road construction as base materials, wall materials or paving stones. Due to its moderate hardness and good stability, andesite is an ideal building material.
