The core component of this system is a large inclined cylinder, which rotates via a precision mechanical drive system: the cylinder shell is equipped with load-bearing rollers that are supported by robust trunnion bearings and driven by a specialized transmission device. The unique design features a slight inclination of the cylinder relative to the horizontal plane, allowing gravity to facilitate the axial movement of materials inside the drum. By precisely controlling temperature profiles and material residence time, the rotary kiln effectively induces desired physical transformations or chemical reactions in the processed materials, meeting the process requirements of various industrial applications.

Rotary kiln is a multi-purpose high-temperature processing unit capable of handling various materials through different thermal processes. Its major applications include:

1. Calcination

A thermal treatment process that induces chemical dissociation in materials, commonly used in the production of inorganic compounds.

2. Pyrolysis

Thermal decomposition of materials in an oxygen-free environment, typically conducted in indirectly heated rotary kilns for precise process control. Widely applied in recycling industries.

3. Thermal Desorption

A separation process that uses heat to volatilize and remove contaminants (e.g., pesticides) or recover valuable components from solid matrices (e.g., spent catalysts). Indirect-fired kilns are preferred for handling flammable volatiles safely.

4. Organic Combustion

High-temperature oxidation of organic waste to significantly reduce mass and volume, leaving only inert ash as residue.

5. Reduction Roasting

A metallurgical process where metal oxides in ores are reduced by carbon monoxide (CO), typically generated from coal or coke, to extract pure metals or prepare intermediates for further processing.

  The rotary kiln is mainly composed of the kiln head and kiln tail sealing devices and structural cooling devices, cylinder, wheel belt and mounting plate, drive device, support wheel group and support device, transmission system, lubrication system, hydraulic wheel blocking system, tertiary fan and its air supply pipe, installation pads, equipment bottom plate, anchor bolts, special tools, electronic control devices, instruments and control devices.

  In a continuous rotary kiln, the raw materials (heated materials) are continuously fed and moved continuously in the kiln. The raw materials are fed in from one end of the kiln and discharged continuously from the other end, and can be processed without stopping the machine. The continuous rotary kiln can feed and discharge materials continuously, so it has high production capacity and high efficiency. Continuous operation ensures a constant feed flow rate and improves process stability and consistency.
