Recently, the phosphogypsum decomposition sulfuric acid co-production cement plant constructed by Zhengzhou Jiutian was successfully put into trial operation in Jiangxi Province, opening up a new way for the resource utilization of phosphogypsum. Phosphogypsum is an industrial waste residue produced in the production process of wet phosphoric acid and is one of the largest solid wastes discharged in the chemical industry. Jiutian has developed a new dry cement kiln decomposition production process that directly and completely uses phosphogypsum to replace limestone as the main raw material to produce sulfuric acid and cement clinker. The decomposition of phosphogypsum to produce sulfuric acid and co-produce cement can effectively recover calcium, sulfur, silicon and other resources in the by-product phosphogypsum, and realize the reuse of waste residue.
